El Roi (The God Who Sees Me)

El Roi is one of the biblical names of God found in the Hebrew Bible.
In the Hebrew bible in the Book of Genesis, Hagar called the divine protagonist, El Roi. Roi means “seeing". To Hagar, God revealed Himself as “The God Who sees".
Hagar is a distraught, frightened, pregnant, non-Israelite slave girl who encounters God in a desert, and feeling she has been miracuously aided by Him, calls him this name.
El Roi: The name El means “God, god, mighty one, strength". It is used to denote “either the generic name ‘god’ or ‘the God’ of Israel". In some instances of a significant encounter with Elohim, believers would form a compound of El and a word which described God’s revelation of Himself in that encounter.

Even the most watchful parent must sleep.  Scripture makes it clear our Heavenly Father neither  slumbers nor sleeps,  He is diligent ,He is aware of  all that happenings in your life and mine.
El Roi, a God so watchful that He is said to note even when the smallest sparrow falls to the ground. This is our Father who watches over us daily, whether or not you recognize his presence. He is aware of you though and the fact that we sometimes find ourself in desolate places, He is always near, helping us find a path through troubles, working out His plans for our lives. Lord thank you that you are always there that you will never leave us and that you care so dearly for us. Fill us with your spirit and may our steps be guide by you.  Thank you Father for loving us so much.
