My Redeemer lives

I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. (Job 19:25) My Redeemer," and in the fact that the Redeemer lives. Oh! to get hold of a living Christ. We must get a property in Him before we can enjoy Him. What is gold in the mine to me? Men are beggars in Peru, and beg their bread in California. It is gold in my purse which will satisfy my necessities, by purchasing the bread I need. So a Redeemer who does not redeem me, an avenger who will never stand up for my blood, of what avail were such? Rest not content until by faith you can say "Yes, I cast myself upon my living Lord; and He is mine." It may be you hold Him with a feeble hand; you half think it presumption to say, "He lives as my Redeemer;" yet, remember if you have but faith as a grain of mustard seed, that little faith entitles you to say it. But there is also another word here, expressive of Job's strong confidence, "I know." To say, "I hope so, I trust so" is comfortable; and there are thousands in the fold of Jesus who hardly ever get much further. But to reach the essence of consolation you must say, "I know." Ifs, buts, and perhapses, are sure murderers of peace and comfort. Doubts are dreary things in times of sorrow. Like wasps they sting the soul! If I have any suspicion that Christ is not mine, then there is vinegar mingled with the gall of death; but if I know that Jesus lives for me, then darkness is not dark: even the night is light about me. Surely if Job, in those ages before the coming and advent of Christ, could say, "I know," we should not speak less positively. God forbid that our positiveness should be presumption. Let us see that our evidences are right, lest we build upon an ungrounded hope; and then let us not be satisfied with the mere foundation, for it is from the upper rooms that we get the widest prospect. A living Redeemer, truly mine, is joy unspeakable.

Fear must not become your master

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." (JOSHUA 1:9) This is a scripture that address an issue that mankinds deals with fear/afraid daily. 365 times fear is mentioned in the Word of God. Why is that ? When you stop and think about it for a moment. We might come to the conclusion that it's ridiculous to be afraid when God is with you and for you. As humans, we tend to forget. Maybe that's why God said so many times to "Fear not!"Let us put our trust in Christ. For who can take us from the hand of God? He did not bring you this far to abandon you now! Rest in CHrist and know he will guide you the through valley of death, what shall we fear if God is with us?

Communion with Jeus

Abide in Me. (John 15:4) Communion with Christ is a certain cure for every ill. Whether it be the wormwood of woe, or the cloying surfeit of earthly delight, close fellowship with the Lord Jesus will take bitterness from the one, and satiety from the other. Live near to Jesus, Christian, and it is matter of secondary importance whether thou livest on the mountain of honour or in the valley of humiliation. Living near to Jesus, thou art covered with the wings of God, and underneath thee are the everlasting arms. Let nothing keep thee from that hallowed intercourse, which is the choice privilege of a soul wedded to THE WELL-BELOVED. Be not content with an interview now and then, but seek always to retain His company, for only in His presence hast thou either comfort or safety. Jesus should not be unto us a friend who calls upon us now and then, but one with whom we walk evermore. Thou hast a difficult road before thee: see, O traveller to heaven, that thou go not without thy guide. Thou hast to pass through the fiery furnace; enter it not unless, like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, thou hast the Son of God to be thy companion. Thou hast to storm the Jericho of thine own corruptions: attempt not the warfare until, like Joshua, thou hast seen the Captain of the Lord's host, with His sword drawn in His hand. Thou art to meet the Esau of thy many temptations: meet him not until at Jabbok's brook thou hast laid hold upon the angel, and prevailed. In every case, in every condition, thou wilt need Jesus; but most of all, when the iron gates of death shall open to thee. Keep thou close to thy soul's Husband, lean thy head upon His bosom, ask to be refreshed with the spiced wine of His pomegranate, and thou shalt be found of Him at the last, without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing. Seeing thou hast lived with Him, and lived in Him here, thou shalt abide with Him for ever.

His righteousness

So that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. (1 CORINTHIANS 1:29-30) You ARE righteous if Jesus is your Lord. In fact, Jesus IS your righteousness. As a believer in Christ, Church remember this you will never be more righteous no matter what we do. For our salvation and our hope must be in Christ alone for our very best is like a filthy rag meant to be taken outside of the encampment and buried 6 feet under. I'm so glad that my salavation is not dependent upon how righteous I can be. But it is all about Christ and what He already done at Calvary for you and me!!!

Right with God

Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. (ROMANS 5:1) God offers righteousness as a free gift to everyone who receives the Lord Jesus Christ. Righteousness means right-wise-ness, or being right. So righteousness is right standing, or good standing with God. It does not mean human "perfection." Righteousness is a gift from God not something you can earn or achieve. God simply declares that you are innocent, as far as He is concerned, because you believe in Jesus, and that makes you righteous.

Let the world see His love

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (1 John 4:8) The only way for the world to see God is through you and I by showing them something they do know or see much of in this world which is pure love with no catches or if and buts, just God's true love. Oh children of God. We didn't know what love was. The bible tells us there is no greater love than a man lie his life down for another. In our case it we were sinners in need of a Savior. Jesus paid the price for our crimes against God. He guiltless but he became sin to pay what Justice demand of us which was our lives, for sin leads to death. It was grace and mercy and the love of Christ that said oh no I will pay the price for them not because we are worthy but because Christ loves us, He died for us. To be a follower of Christ mean to me to have Love even for those who hate me and persecute me, after all they hated Jesus first and put him to death when he was innocent guilty of loving a sinful creature that was us.

Let the gospel become more than words uttered

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20) God didn't expect or want us all to be Theologians like Paul of Tarus or Pastor Phil or other well know men of God. Sharing the great commission is to share the Good news, that our debt was paid in full but can't be credited to your account to you accept the gift. The great commission does say you have to stand on street corner and shout bible scripture not everyone is called to be a John the Baptist, Andrew went about everywhere telling everyone who would listen about a man who could save anybody. Not everyone in the room shall be a planter, some shall be weed pullers, plowers, others spreading fertilizer some shall simply water and others shall reap the harvest. But God has work for all of the body. If you would wait and listen for him to call your name and be willing to answer the call like Samuel. For me I didn't want to be a Pastor because what I saw growing up in a Christian family was went church to sing in the choir teach, and we sat and listen to some stuffy old pastor. I told God no when my Aunt told me at 6 I would preach I told him no at 13 I told him no again at 21, I told him yes August 25, 1992 in San Diego because I was tired of running, I decide no longer to allow my trepidation of what God might ask of me. Guess what guys he never asked me travel to Africa the military did, But never did I've never had to travel to any foreign countries unless you count Seattle and Bremerton they are both strange places. I answered the call, the great commission does mean he calling you to preach or teach, my sister Leti great commission was serve breakfast a ministry of hospitality both her and my wife were called to that ministry, Jason was called to preach, others may be called to sing, to pray for others, to be a comforter or a good will ambassador. Brothers and sisters, what are you trepidated of today that keeps you from saying, " here am I Lord" what would you have me do for your kingdom sake. I'm going to wrap this up I want to ask you one question, where would you be if someone had not answered God call and came and told you the"Good News"? Would you be dead, in jail, addicted, me I'm sure one thing I would be a child of God, my spiritual mother Irene Gonzalez and my spiritual Father showed me the love of Christ and made God real by the love they showed me and others. Now who in your home, work, neighborhood could you show the love of Christ and make God more than word or book that most people are just a bunch of out dated stories. The great commission is given to the believers, if your not a believer then this is not for you to do. I don't know you hearts but if any of you be followers of Christ then Jesus has work for you to do while it is still day for the world daily grows more cold and dark. Be the light of the world and share the good news you might say how a smile, a God bless you to a clerk, or co-worker, maybe you bring in treat or make sure the coffee pot is filled and ready to start, maybe its a kind word, to assist your neighbor when you he/she is struggling.

Fear not

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." (JOSHUA 1:9) Over and over the Bible tells us to not be afraid. When you stop and think about it's ridiculous to be afraid when God is with you and for you. As humans, we tend to forget. Maybe that's why God said so many times to "Fear not!"

Who am I

Then Job answered the LORD, and said, Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.” (Job 40:3-4) It’s remarkable how many of the men of God in the Bible often confess to being the worst of sinners. The patriarch Job was said by God Himself to be “a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and eschewed evil” Job 1:8 Yet, when Job saw God, he could only say, “Behold, I am vile.” Oh church considers Abraham, who is called “the father of all them that believe” in Romans 4:11 When Abraham spoke to God, Abraham said that he was “but dust and ashes”Let the church be reminded that the only good that exist in us. Is because of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us! We can do nothing without God. Let the church praise His Holy Name. God is worthy of the praises!

Nothing can separate us

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39). This is where my hope and joy are in this truth! Nothing can separate me from the love of God! King David also came to this same truth. David realized that there was no place he could go to hide or not be seen by God. This is a truth every Christian should hold tight to.

Unselfish love

If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not to love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. (1 Corinthians 13:3-8). Lord teach me to love my bride, with unselfish love! That means meeting her needs not according to how comfortable or how easy it is for me! Love is God, so if we walk in love, then we walk with Jesus. If you are unable to love as Christ does. Then it's time you invite God, to let His perfect love be found active in you! Lord enable me to love with your perfect love all those that you place in my life!

Fix our eyes

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal (2 CORINTHIANS 4:18). Some of us seem to have more faith in the problem than we do in God. This happens when we focus on the problem, instead of looking to God who is the solution. As long as we focus on the problem and let it consume our attention, we will have faith in it to defeat us. However, our faith must be in Christ alone. There is an issue too small for Him or an issue too big for Him! Give your worries and fears to the God that sees you! Instead, take upon yourself His grace and mercy. For if God is for you what then should we fear or worry about?

Welcome

For even if I made you grieve with my letter, I do not regret it though I did regret it, for I see that that letter grieved you, though only for a while. As it is, I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because you were grieved into repenting. For you felt godly grief so that you suffered no loss through us. For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death. For see what earnestness this godly grief has produced in you, but also what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what punishment! At every point, you have proved yourselves innocent in the matter (2Corinthians 7:8-11). I welcome the rebuke, of a Godly brother, when done it, love. A Godly rebuke is not done to belittle you but done out of love. If God sends a brother in love to remind you of whose you are! For though we are in this world we must be careful to not become a part of it!

These Promises

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God. ( 2 Corinthians 7:1). Lord, help us to keep our eyes on Jesus! Like little children let our eyes look upon nothing ungodly. Let husbands seek pleasure in their wives! Let our ears not seek out ungodly speech! Let our fellowship be with the Godly men/women. Let us lust not or seek anything that is not given to us by God! Let us daily cry out to God to guide us on the path of righteousness.

Psalm 118:6

The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalm 118:6) Break every bone in your body! Boil you in oil. Cut you in half. Take your life. Yet no one or nothing can ever separate us from the Love of God. Be like Peter and Daniel in the jail cell. Neither man worried they instead sleep, because They both trusted in God! What are you trusting?

Ruth 1:16

But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. (Ruth 1:16) Church do you not know that? This passage is such a statement of loyalty that it has been traditionally used as a wedding vow. In Psalm 23, we are told that even when we are in our darkest moment also is God! He has vowed that He will never leave or abandon us. I’m so glad that we have such a loving and faithful Heavenly Father! Let the church be so committed that we will declare with a loud voice. That where ever God is, we want to be there too. Are you willing to follow Jesus and forsake all to follow Him? Does your life reflect that action?

What profit is there

For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? (Mark 8:36) Energy does not just stop existing. So what you do in this life matters! If this is the beginning and the end. Party like there is tomorrow.Since tomorrow is not promised to any man. I'm choosing to believe there is an afterlife. I’m choosing to believe in Jesus. If I'm wrong I'm simply maggot meat. However, if I'm right then I will spend an eternity with the creator. So I would rather worship the creator than the creation. What are you investing in? I'm choosing Jesus till the end!

Humility and gentleness

With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love (Ephesians 4:2) Oh church do you not know. If you are found operating in God's perfect love. The law is for filled in you. May you daily be found planting seeds for Jesus by loving those around you.

"That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' (JOHN 3:6-7). From this Scripture, we see that when you are born again, the part that is born again is you are filled by the Holy Spirit, not your mind, and not your body. Born again, right with God, and filled with His Spirit. You are to control your body and to control what is fed into your mind so that it can be renewed by the Word of God to know the truth. Then your life will be changed and conformed to the will of God. According to the Bible, the believer is filled with the Holy Spirit! We who are filled with Spirit of God! Daily we seek to be guided by the Holy Spirit that we might not only know but do the will of God! Without the Holy Spirit working in and through us, it is impossible to please God. It is impossible to worship God without the Holy Spirit. So we welcome you Holy Spirit to work out God's good and perfect will in our lives!

Wednesday, July 12, 2023

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, (2 Timothy 3:16). If we are not grounded in the Word of God. How then can we share the gospel? Which is the good news. You can buy a car and never use the owner's manual. But we as the body must know the Word of God! For how else can we know the promises of God and stand upon them! Lord guide that we are filled and ready to proclaim the truth of God! Let us be ready to answer anytime

Monday, July 10, 2023

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32) Christ gave himself the perfect example of how to live and treat others. We are told to love one another as Christ loves us! So that the world might actually see Christ in you! That requires us to stop speaking and acting like the world. We can not serve two masters. If you chose to follow Jesus let your life reflect that truth! Let love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness abide in you!

Sunday, July 9, 2023

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. (John 14:1) Some might say, that is easy for you to say, Jesus. You don't know my pain, my stress, my fears, my worries. Yes, He does, and despite all that. He will never abandon you. So instead of trusting in the whispers of the father of lies. Let us choose to trust the one. Who suffered to set us free of our slavery to sin! So church let us choose to believe in our Redeemer and Savior. Or can continue to be controlled by fears and lies or choose to rest in the love of God?

Saturday, July 8, 2023

What then

What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:15-23) Oh children of God! Today and every day, you must choose. To remain free or like the dog who returns to its vomit! In 1 John we are told we no longer have to sin. Don’t be like a dog chasing a moving car. For what will you do when you catch up to sin? Will you drink of her filthy again? Who Christ has set free is free! So stop choosing to return to the pig pen. Do you not know you are a child of the king? If we are true children of king let’s start acting and living like it.

You Are Not An Orphan

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. (JOHN 14:18) You are not facing life all alone -- no matter how you feel. Jesus is with you. He promised to never forsake you. The father of lies loves to make us think we have no help, that God does not care us, and that we have no hope. True with Jesus I have no hope. Which is why my hope is in Christ alone. I know these words can be accepted in good times, but when the storms of life come do you find yourself saying." Why does God allow things to look so bleak? Why doesn't He help me sooner?" God desires faith and trust from us. Without testing times we would have no opportunity to show our faith. Without obstacles we would have nothing to overcome. We must always remember that God is raising a family, preparing us for eternity with Him. It can be a great error to judge everything by "the bottom line" today. We must trust our Father God, because only He really knows what the "true bottom line" is. And we can trust Him, because He is good and trustworthy. Its funny because this word is one for myself. I got to work one night and discovered that one of my boss sent me a email saying stop by and see me. I found myself saying what did I do wrong now! I found that since I suffered my depression that I'm always doubting myself and feeling like that things are my fault. Or that is it is just a matter of time before I get into trouble again for something. I realized something as I put some thoughts together, though the devil wants me to believe I'm alone and forsaken and not loved but I realize that, I'm not alone. Granted that doesn't always help when your hungry or without a job or a place to live, or your child is dieing or spouse left you. At those moments you want God to wrap his arms around you to say He loves you. Did you know that sometimes we can be the hands and feet that reach out and hold another. We can extend ourselves and allow God's love to shine through us.

The Secret

One day, one friend asked another, "How is it that you are always so happy? You have so much energy, and you never seem to get down." With her eyes smiling, she said, "I know the Secret!" "What secret is that?" To which she replied, "I'll tell you all about it, but you have to promise to share the Secret with others." "The Secret is this: I have learned there is little I can do in my life that will make me truly happy. I must depend on God to make me happy and to meet my needs. When a need arises in my life, I have to trust God to supply according to HIS riches. I have learned most of the time I don't need half of what I think I do. He has never let me down. Since I learned that 'Secret', I am happy. " The questioner's first thought was, "That's too simple!" But upon reflecting over her own life she recalled how she thought a bigger house would make her happy, but it didn't! She thought a better paying job would make her happy, but it hadn't. When did she realize her greatest happiness? Sitting on the floor with her grandchildren, playing games, eating pizza or reading a story, a simple gift from God. Now you know it too! We can't depend on people to make us happy. Only GOD in His infinite wisdom can do that. Trust HIM! And now I pass the Secret on to you! So once you get it, what will you do? YOU have to tell someone the Secret, too! That GOD in His wisdom will take care of YOU! But it's not really a secret... We just have to believe it and do it... Really trust God!
