Lust of Eyes & Lust of the flesh (Sexual Immorality)

He has told you, oh man what is good & what is good and to love goodness, and to walk modestly with your God.  (Micah 6:8)

Yet we lust after those things that are pleasing to the eye.  While  my lovely wife and  I   were on a recent get away, as we were strolling through a mall. We noticed a young lady, whose skirt literally was so short that the only man that should have seen her in that skirt should be her husband.  I understand that it was a designer skirt, with only one intention which was to draw the attention of men. Which from where my wife and I were standing, it was certainly having that effect on all the men that were in gazing range of her. But of course I'm sure all those men that gazed upon her with a fatherly glance or perhaps they were wondering who the designer of the skirt was so that they could purchase on for their wives or perhaps one for their mother.  Not!!!

O be careful little eyes what you see
There's a Father up above
And He's looking down in love
So, be careful little eyes what you see

In Romans 1:24 Tells us  what can happen when mankind trades God's love for the lust of the flesh, for  the sinful desires that lead to sexual immorality.

In Ephesians 4:19 Tells us that  they had given themselves over to the  lust of the flesh.

In Ephesians 5:3 it tells  us that there should be no hint of sexual immorality because we are the children of God.

Colossians 3:5  Speaks of putting to  death, whatever things that are not of God, but  of the flesh such as sexual immorality.

Christ told the people of that time that if the eye was an offense to their walk with God, that it would be better to enter into heaven with one eye than to burn in hell for the lust of your flesh.
Please brothers and sisters do not go and remove your physical eye. perhaps its our computer you need to remove, or its the television that needs to be removed from your site.

Bottom line do not allow your eyes nor your mind to view things or ponder things that do not glorify God. Give God the glory and not the flesh.  For if you lust after another who is not your spoused you have sinned  & perhaps you have made this person your new demi-god or a stumbling block...

I'm glad to hear these words of caution as, they are true. Whether we realize it or not images make an impression. No person should go to one extreme or the next. We are all called upon to be true MEN or true WOMEN do not betray your gender with homosexuality.
