I pray this story will bless your day, May the Lord God keep you and know that if you need me day or night just call.

Andy was a
quiet man. He didn't talk much. He would always greet you with a big smile
and a firm handshake.

Even after
living in our neighborhood for over 50 years, no one could really say they
knew him very well.

Before his
retirement, he took the bus to work each morning. The lone sight of him
walking down the street often worried us.

He had a slight
limp from a bullet wound received in WWII.

Watching him,
we worried that although he had survived WWII, he may not make it through
our changing uptown neighborhood with its ever-increasing random violence,
gangs, and drug activity.

When he saw the
flyer at our local church asking for volunteers for caring for the gardens
behind the minister's residence, he responded in his characteristically
unassuming manner. Without fanfare, he just signed up.

He was well
into his 87th year when the very thing we had always feared finally
happened.

He was just
finishing his watering for the day when three gang members approached him.
Ignoring their attempt to intimidate him, he simply asked, "Would you like
a drink from the hose?"

The tallest and
toughest-looking of the three said, "Yeah, sure," with a malevolent little
smile.

As Andy offered
the hose to him, the other two grabbed Andy's arm, throwing him down. As
the hose snaked crazily over the ground, dousing everything in its way,
Andy's assailants stole his retirement watch and his wallet, and then
fled.

Andy tried to
get himself up, but he had been thrown down on his bad leg. He lay there
trying to gather himself as the minister came running to help him.

Although the
minister had witnessed the attack from his window, he couldn't get there
fast enough to stop it.

"Andy, are you
okay? Are you hurt?" the minister kept asking as he helped Andy to his
feet.

Andy just
passed a hand over his brow and sighed, shaking his head. "Just some punk
kids. I hope they'll wise-up someday."

His wet clothes
clung to his slight frame as he bent to pick up the hose. He adjusted the
nozzle again and started to water.

Confused and a
little concerned, the minister asked, "Andy, what are you doing?" "I've
got to finish my watering. It's been very dry lately," came the calm
reply.
Satisfying
himself that Andy really was all right, the minister could only marvel.
Andy was a man from a different time and place.

A few weeks
later the three returned. Just as before their threat was
unchallenged.
Andy again offered them a drink from his
hose.

This time they
didn't rob him. They wrenched the hose from his hand and drenched him head
to foot in the icy water.

When they had
finished their humiliation of him, they sauntered off down the street,
throwing catcalls and curses, falling over one another laughing at the
hilarity of what they had just done.

Andy just
watched them. Then he turned toward the warmth giving sun, picked up his
hose, and went on with his watering.

The summer was
quickly fading into fall Andy was doing some tilling when he was startled
by the sudden approach of someone behind him. He stumbled and fell into
some evergreen branches.

As he struggled
to regain his footing, he turned to see the tall leader of his summer
tormentors reaching down for him. He braced himself for the expected
attack.

"Don't worry
old man, I'm not gonna hurt you this time."
The young man
spoke softly, still offering the tattooed and scarred hand to Andy. As he
helped Andy get up, the man pulled a crumpled bag from his pocket and
handed it to Andy.

"What's this?"
Andy asked. "It's your stuff," the man explained. "It's your stuff back.
Even the money in your wallet." "I don't understand," Andy said. "Why
would you help me now?"

The man shifted
his feet, seeming embarrassed and ill at ease. "I learned something from
you," he said. "I ran with that gang and hurt people like you we picked
you because you were old and we knew we could do it But every time we came
and did something to you, instead of yelling and fighting back, you tried
to give us a drink. You didn't hate us for hating you. You kept showing
love against our hate."

He stopped for
a moment. "I couldn't sleep after we stole your stuff, so here it is
back."

He paused for
another awkward moment, not knowing what more there was to say. "That
bag's my way of saying thanks for straightening me out, I guess." And with
that, he walked off down the street.

Andy looked
down at the sack in his hands and gingerly opened it. He took out his
retirement watch and put it back on his wrist. Opening his wallet, he
checked for his wedding photo. He gazed for a moment at the young bride
that still smiled back at him from all those years ago.

He died one
cold day after Christmas that winter. Many people attended his funeral in
spite of the weather.

In particular
the minister noticed a tall young man that he didn't know sitting quietly
in a distant corner of the church.

The minister
spoke of Andy's garden as a lesson in life.
In a voice made
thick with unshed tears, he said, "Do your best and make your garden as
beautiful as you can. We will never forget Andy and his garden."

The following
spring another flyer went up. It read: "Person needed to care for Andy's
garden."

The flyer went
unnoticed by the busy parishioners until one day when a knock was heard at
the minister's office door.

Opening the
door, the minister saw a pair of scarred and tattooed hands holding the
flyer. "I believe this is my job, if you'll have me," the young man
said.
The minister
recognized him as the same young man who had returned the stolen watch and
wallet to Andy.

He knew that
Andy's kindness had turned this man's life around. As the minister handed
him the keys to the garden shed, he said, "Yes, go take care of Andy's
garden and honor him."

The man went to
work and, over the next several years, he tended the flowers and
vegetables just as Andy had done.

During that
time, he went to college, got married, and became a prominent member of
the community. But he never forgot his promise to Andy's memory and kept
the garden as beautiful as he thought Andy would have kept it.

One day he
approached the new minister and told him that he couldn't care for the
garden any longer. He explained with a shy and happy smile, "My wife just
had a baby boy last night, and she's bringing him home on Saturday."

"Well,
congratulations!" said the minister, as he was handed the garden shed
keys. "That's wonderful! What's the baby's name?"
"Andy," he replied.

Hmm something to ponder??? Are you a Andy???

Lastly my brothers and sisters let us remember the day of prayer is fast upon us. Let be ready with knees bows and voices crying out to God for our nation, for the lost , for our brothers and sisters on the front lines those in the mission fields and those called preach and teach the gospel.  Here's a quote from Franklin Graham.

59th Annual National Day of Prayer

PRAYER FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS.

I believe our nation is in a perilous spiritual state. We must pray. We must call on God to heal our land, forgive our sins, and lead us in the path of righteousness. Please join with believers across this great nation on Thursday, May 6, and the days following as we cry out to the Lord for His mercy and help.

I will be on my knees. I hope you will be on yours. Thank you, and God bless you.

"The righteous are bold as a lion."

"The righteous are bold as a lion." (Proverbs 28:1)

A holy boldness is imparted to those who seek to speak the truth of
God (Acts 4:31). The miracle of the Pentecost outpouring of the Holy
Spirit was followed by several incidents where the various apostles
and early Christian leaders spoke "boldly in the Lord" (Acts 14:3,
etc). Where does this boldness come from?

The Presence of the Holy Spirit: The Sanhedrin "saw the boldness of
Peter and John" when they were dragged before them (Acts 4:13), after
they had healed the lame man shortly after Pentecost. Peter was
"filled with the Holy Ghost" (Acts 4:8) and boldly answered the
farcical questioning of those self-righteous leaders, and they "took
knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus" (Acts 4:13). When we
speak with God's authority, we speak boldly.

The Words of God's Word: The first church prayed "that with all
boldness they may speak thy word" and they were enabled to speak "the
word of God with boldness" (Acts 4:29, 31). When Paul was starting the
church in Ephesus, he "spake boldly for the space of three months,
disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God"
(Acts 19:8). We should have boldness when we have opportunity to "make
known the mystery of the gospel" (Ephesians 6:19).

The Assurance of a Righteous Life: "According to my earnest
expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that
with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in
my body, whether it be by life, or by death" (Philippians 1:20).
Several godly traits of righteous men are given in Hebrews, "so that
we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man
shall do unto me" (Hebrews 13:6).

The God of heaven and earth

"And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the Lord, the God
of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land." (Jonah 1:9)

It was by these words that the prophet Jonah identified himself to the
merchants of Tarshish as he was fleeing on their ship from the
presence of the Lord. This special title, "the God of heaven," seems
generally to have been used by the Jews when they were talking to men
of other religions, stressing that their God was no mere tribal deity,
but the true God who had created the very heavens.

The title was first used by Abraham, speaking to his servant: "And I
will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of
the earth" (Genesis 24:3). At this time, the nation of Israel existed
only in the promise of this "God of heaven."

It also appears frequently in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah, first in
the decree of Cyrus the Persian: "The Lord God of heaven . . . hath
charged me to build him an house at Jerusalem" (Ezra 1:2). Even though
the Persians followed lesser gods, Cyrus knew that the one God of
heaven was the Creator. The name then reappears several times in the
book of Daniel, who was living in the palace of the heathen king of
Babylon. Its final Old Testament occurrence is Daniel 2:44: "The God
of heaven |shall| set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed."

In the New Testament it occurs only twice, both in Revelation. In one
instance, John writes that the ungodly nations "blasphemed the God of
heaven"; in the other, he says they "gave glory to the God of heaven"
(Revelation 16:11; 11:13). In our own witnessing today, especially to
those who don’t know or believe the Bible, it is also good to stress
that our God is not just the God of Judeo-Christian tradition, but the
Creator of all things

His tabernacle

Habitation for God

"Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty
God of Jacob. Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the
fields of the wood. We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship
at his footstool." (Psalm 132:5-7)

These fascinating verses may well have a double meaning. First, a
retrospective reference to David's desire to build a temple for God
and, second, a prophecy concerning a still future habitation for God.
Ephratah was the same as Bethlehem, the birthplace of both David and
his greater son, Jesus.

The writer of this psalm may have been King Hezekiah, a contemporary
of the prophet Micah, who had written: "Thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, . .
. out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in
Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting"
(Micah 5:2). He was also a contemporary of Isaiah, who had written
concerning this same coming Son: "his name shall be called . . . The
mighty God" (Isaiah 9:6).

David had desired to build an earthly habitation for the mighty God of
Israel; Isaiah had said this "mighty God" would be "a child born" and
"a Son given"; and Micah said He would be born in Bethlehem Ephratah.
Our psalmist must have been thinking about these truths when he saw,
through the future eyes of those "in the fields of the wood," "at
Ephratah," this "place for the LORD," who then would go to "worship at
His footstool."

Some 800 years later, "there were in the same country shepherds
abiding in the fields" at Bethlehem Ephratah, when a great host of
angels told them the promised Savior had come, directing them to go to
His "habitation" to worship Him. And that was where they did, indeed,
find Him, "wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger" (Luke 2:8,
12), and they were the very first to "worship at his footstool."

There is power in the Word of God

Matthew4:4 But He answered and said, "It is written, `Man shall not live
by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth
of God.'"

When Jesus faced the devil's temptations as recorded in Matthew
chapter four, His first response was to quote Deuteronomy 8:3.

God wants you to learn the same lesson that Jesus knew: Nothing
is more important than God's Word. Without the Word, your life
will be less than God intends. The Word of God is vital!

Deuteronomy 8:2-3
2 "And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all
the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and
test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would
keep His commandments or not.
3 "So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with
manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He
might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but
man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the
Lord.

This lesson was what God intended for Israel to learn in the
wilderness, but sadly, most of them missed it.

When Joshua was taking command of the Israelites after Moses'
death, God wanted to make sure Joshua understood the lesson.
So, He gave him directions for success — which are: speak God's
Word, think God's Word, and do God's Word. Those instructions
have never changed. They are as valid for you today as they
were for Joshua.

"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but
you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to
do according to all that is written in it. For then you will
make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

I will give you rest

Matthew 11:28-30

28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Christ offers to trade your burdens for his burdens which is tells us is lite, for he has over come the world for us. So pray tell what is that we need to really stress???

If you feel like you are struggling and striving just to make
it -- you need to turn to Christ. He will give you rest.

If you say that you have turned to Christ and you think His yoke
is hard and His burden is heavy -- you are deceived.

You need to cast your care on the Lord and learn of Him. So
many people are striving and struggling to get God to love them
when He already loves them and accepts them.

Living a successful Christian life is not done by our own
strength or willpower. It is the result of depending on the
Lord. Only He can do it.

Quit trusting in your plans and abilities and efforts, and
trust in Christ our Lord and Savior instead. Turn things over to Him. Let Him be
Lord in your life.

The world tells us that we don't need a single soul that a true man stand alone, but that is a lie
a true man is  a man after God's on heart. One who is able to admit to the Lord that he is flawed
from birth and needs the Lord to deliever him.  Are you that kind of man or woman, who realizes
your only hope is and should be in Christ.

None of us have escaped our childhood without some scars and bruises, maybe it was a spouse, maybe it was a parent, maybe it was friend, a church, a boss, a co-worker. Regardless of the who, the when or even the why.  Christ says in Revelations that he stands at the knocking, if any man or woman will hear him and invite him in, then will he take way your burdens if you will but give them to him.  Aren't you tired of carrying them around???

Give them to him and let him give you rest in return.....

I want to be like Christ

In early nines " I want to be like Mike", was the phrase of the day.
For Christians the phrase of each and everyday should be  " I want bo like Christ".

"But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner
of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy." 1
Peter 1:15-16

Scripture admonishes us as Christians to be like our Lord and Savior
in "all manner of conversation," or all manner of life. We are His
earthly witnesses, and we must so order our lives that we are an
adequate reflection of Him.

We are to be like Him in the purity of our lives. As our text points
out, "Be ye holy; for I am holy." "Every man that hath this hope in
him purifieth himself, even as he is pure" (1 John 3:3). "Follow . . .
holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14).

Our daily walk and lives should be patterned after Him. "He that saith
he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked" 1
John 2:6.
"If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have
fellowship one with another" 1 John 1:7.

Furthermore, we are to be like Him in love. "Beloved, let us love one
another: for love is of God . . . for God is love" 1 John 4:7-8. We
are to be willing to suffer unjustly without revenge, "because Christ
also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his
steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth" 1 Peter
2:21-22
.

Being like Him involves a life of service, as well. "If I then, your
Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one
another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as
I have done to you" John 13:14-15.

Christ has forgiven each of us many times, even though our sins grieve
Him deeply. He stands ready to forgive and restore fellowship, and so
should we. With His help, we can emulate Him, even when we are
wronged. "Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you" Ephesians
4:32
.

Do you want to be more like Christ?
Are you know by the works and the love that you have for others?
Yet we put on the identity of one who is like Christ, which is the Christian.
Are we really like Christ?

You are

1 Peter2: 24
who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that
we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness -- by
  whose stripes you were healed.
"Time" is difficult to understand. Scientists tell us that time
is "relative," just something that seems real to us. The Bible indicates God is "outside of time." God created time so He is not confined to it. Can we easily comprehend this? No. When a human makes a statement that is not true at this present moment in time, we call it a lie -- not the truth. But when God says something that does not seem to be true at this moment -- we cannot accuse Him of telling a lie -- because
God is not limited to our time frame.
Having said all that, the Bible clearly says that you ARE healed.
So, you have a choice. You can look at it from your perspective
and say, "That is not true. I am not healed." Or, you can view the situation from God's perspective, and
because of your faith in Him, agree with what He said.
Which choice is best? As you decide your answer, remember to
include eternity in your evaluation. Pleasing God by accepting
His Word can bring benefits to you after this life.
Here is one way of understanding all this. God made provision
for everyone to be healed. That provision must be received by
faith -- by believing and acting on what God has said in His
Word. Humans have a choice: believe God's Word and resist
anything that would try to steal their health, or, let their
  feelings and circumstances control them.

If you disagree with all this, let's not argue or fight. That
will not help anyone. But remember, the Bible will still say
  what it says.

When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were
demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and
  healed all who were sick,
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the
prophet, saying: "He Himself took our infirmities and bore our
  sicknesses."
God made provision for your healing, but the devil tries to steal it away from you.
Here is the bottom line: we do not understand everything. God does. Since God loves us, it seems best to trust in Him instead of trusting in our own limited understanding. So, I choose to
believe and say what God says, whether I understand it or not.  God said and that is good enough for me.

You are delievered

He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed
us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,  Many people are afraid of the devil. As believers we have no
need to be afraid of the devil, although we should be aware and
on guard against his schemes.

The only true power the devil holds over a believer now is the
power of deception. If you do not know the truth the devil will
take advantage of you. The only way to know the truth is to
read, understand, and act on the Scriptures.

To illustrate, imagine entering the hospital room of a patient
paralyzed from their neck down. All they can do is talk. They
pose no threat to you, unless they convince you to take the gun
from beside the bed and shoot yourself with it.

(How could they do that? One way would be to convince you that
the gun was not real or not loaded, so it wouldn't harm you.)

You may think this is ridiculous, but it happens constantly
with people who do not realize that the words they speak are
powerful, and that the ideas they speak originate with the
devil. Every day the devil convinces millions of people to take
a spiritual "weapon" -- their words -- and use it against
themselves.

The devil operates against you through fear and ignorance.
God's Word gives you the information that will set you free
from both fear and ignorance.

Mark 16:17 "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name
they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;

For believers to cast out demons, it means they must have
authority over the devil and his forces. However, unused
authority conveys no benefit.

let Love shine through you at all times

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
We must  always respond with the love of Christ, even to those who seek to harm us.
Above all else we must allow the love of Christ to shine through us that the world may.
Know that we are the children of God.
Don't tell me this won't work in your case. I have personally heard the victorious testimony of a believer who was tortured by his communist captors yet walked in love and overcame the evil situation. It will work!
Love is stronger than hate. Good is more powerful than evil. You can walk in victory no matter what anyone does to you, for if you walk in the Lord your God victory shall be yours.  Christ told Peter he who picks up the sword shall perish by the sword.   So put your trust in God and not into kings or prince's, for they will fail you everytime.

So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
Let us show the world the light of Christ and the love of God.  Yes I know what it feels like to be lied on.
Yes I know what it is like to be hurt by the one's you trusted.
Guess what so does Christ yet, he gave his life for those that hated him spit upon him and bruised him.
Yet he cried out to his Heavenly Father to forgive the same people who had beat him, cursed him, spit upon.
He did not trade evil for good why should we???

God has a plain for your life

God has a plain for your life, but often times like Joseph we are not able to see that plain.  But we must by faith alone trust in the Lord and know that his plans are to prosper us. Not to harm us.

1 Now Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, and Jacob said unto his sons: 'Why do ye look one upon another?'
2 And he said: 'Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt. Get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die.'
3 And Joseph's ten brethren went down to buy corn from Egypt.
4 But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said: 'Lest peradventure harm befall him.'
5 And the sons of Israel came to buy among those that came; for the famine was in the land of Canaan.
6 And Joseph was the governor over the land; he it was that sold to all the people of the land. And Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down to him with their faces to the earth.
7 And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spoke roughly with them; and he said unto them: 'Whence come ye?' And they said: 'From the land of Canaan to buy food.'
8 And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew him not.
9 And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them: 'Ye are spies; to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.'
10 And they said unto him: 'Nay, my lord, but to buy food are thy servants come.
11 We are all one man's sons; we are upright men, thy servants are no spies.'
12 And he said unto them: 'Nay, but to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.'
13 And they said: 'We thy servants are twelve brethren, the sons of one man in the land of Canaan; and, behold, the youngest is this day with our father, and one is not.'
14 And Joseph said unto them: 'That is it that I spoke unto you, saying: Ye are spies.
15 Hereby ye shall be proved, as Pharaoh liveth, ye shall not go forth hence, except your youngest brother come hither.
16 Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be bound, that your words may be proved, whether there be truth in you; or else, as Pharaoh liveth, surely ye are spies.'
17 And he put them all together into ward three days.
18 And Joseph said unto them the third day. 'This do, and live; for I fear God:
יט  אִם-כֵּנִים אַתֶּם--אֲחִיכֶם אֶחָד, יֵאָסֵר בְּבֵית מִשְׁמַרְכֶם; וְאַתֶּם לְכוּ הָבִיאוּ, שֶׁבֶר רַעֲבוֹן בָּתֵּיכֶם. 19 if ye be upright men, let one of your brethren be bound in your prison-house; but go ye, carry corn for the famine of your houses;
20 and bring your youngest brother unto me; so shall your words be verified, and ye shall not die.' And they did so.
21 And they said one to another: 'We are verily guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the distress of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us.'
22 And Reuben answered them, saying: 'Spoke I not unto you, saying: Do not sin against the child; and ye would not hear? therefore also, behold, his blood is required.'
23 And they knew not that Joseph understood them; for the interpreter was between them.
24 And he turned himself about from them, and wept; and he returned to them, and spoke to them, and took Simeon from among them, and bound him before their eyes.
25 Then Joseph commanded to fill their vessels with corn, and to restore every man's money into his sack, and to give them provision for the way; and thus was it done unto them.
26 And they laded their asses with their corn, and departed thence.
27 And as one of them opened his sack to give his ass provender in the lodging-place, he espied his money; and, behold, it was in the mouth of his sack.
28 And he said unto his brethren: 'My money is restored; and, lo, it is even in my sack.' And their heart failed them, and they turned trembling one to another, saying: 'What is this that God hath done unto us?'
29 And they came unto Jacob their father unto the land of Canaan, and told him all that had befallen them, saying:
ל  דִּבֶּר הָאִישׁ אֲדֹנֵי הָאָרֶץ, אִתָּנוּ--קָשׁוֹת; וַיִּתֵּן אֹתָנוּ, כִּמְרַגְּלִים אֶת-הָאָרֶץ. 30 'The man, the lord of the land, spoke roughly with us, and took us for spies of the country.
31 And we said unto him: We are upright men; we are no spies.
32 We are twelve brethren, sons of our father; one is not, and the youngest is this day with our father in the land of Canaan.
33 And the man, the lord of the land, said unto us: Hereby shall I know that ye are upright men: leave one of your brethren with me, and take corn for the famine of your houses, and go your way.
34 And bring your youngest brother unto me; then shall I know that ye are no spies, but that ye are upright men; so will I deliver you your brother, and ye shall traffic in the land.'
35 And it came to pass as they emptied their sacks, that, behold, every man's bundle of money was in his sack; and when they and their father saw their bundles of money, they were afraid.
36 And Jacob their father said unto them: 'Me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away; upon me are all these things come.'
37 And Reuben spoke unto his father, saying: 'Thou shalt slay my two sons, if I bring him not to thee; deliver him into my hand, and I will bring him back to thee.'
38 And he said: 'My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he only is left; if harm befall him by the way in which ye go, then will ye bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.
ITs time we step out on Faith.
Its time to step out on Faith and trust God to provide for your needs.
Its time to step out on Faith and trust God to strengthen and secure your marriage.
Its time to step out on Faith and trust God to save your kids since you can't save anyway, only God can do that.
Its time to step out on Faith and trust God to remove your fears.

Let us sing praises

I could sing of your love forever
In Psalms 108:1 It speaks of singing praise unto the Lord our God.
Tell me if you dare, how much greater would your day be if it was filled with Praises?
Pray tell how would your daily struggles be?
If your focus was longer you or your family or work etc...
What would happen to your angrier, if you day was filled with praising God ?
I can only image, since I know that my days are never filled with praises to God.
Instead they are filled with all my issues and my stress.
How long is long enough to pray?
What if I could not carry a tune, should I say sing unto the Lord?
The word of God tells us to make a joyful noise unto the Lord our God.
Your praises  come before the Lord as well as your prayer.

In Acts 2:26  "Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad."
Some come on saints it time to praise the Lord with your tongue.
Sing in the shower, sing in the car, sing wherever but let your tongue praise him.
For he is worthy to be praised, no other name by which we can be saved.
I know what Christ did for you today, but my question to you is what did you do for him?
I don't know about you but I don't need any rocks praising God for me. I will make a joyful
noise unto the Lord.  I will forever sing of your love and your grace and mercy.

Thankful

 Be Thankful

Psalm 107:1 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy
endures forever.

In Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also
you were called in one body; and be thankful.

Being thankful  for a Christian, should not be a choice. If it was
impossible, God would not have commanded  us to do it.

Without  a few storm days, how can we truly enjoy a clear sunny day.
Gratitude is a mark of maturity. Ingratitude is a mark of
immaturity. Babies are never thankful.

Neither are proud people thankful. Why? Because their mindset
is that they deserve not just everything they have, but even
better. "Why be thankful for something less than what you
deserve?" describes their thinking.

A funny thing you will notice if you consider it: unthankful
people are never happy. In fact, the more thankful a person is,
the happier they are.  For believers we  must know this is not our home
. Which means we should not try to make this heaven.
We have so much to be thankful for. Bought by the blood of Christ.

Saved from eternal damnation . No longer an enemy of God.

But how can you overcome the bad habit of ingratitude? Only by
changing your core beliefs. As long as you believe you are
getting a raw deal, or less than you deserve, you will never
become a thankful person.

But if you realize that you deserved punishment and eternal
separation from God -- yet, His grace & mercy  and love for a fallen man.
He paid the price for you and I. So instead of what
we deserve to have gotten we have been given God's grace
the air you breath, the close on your back, the food you ate.
These are all gifts from God. You are redeemed, by the blood of the lamb

So that alone is enough to be thankful.
Thank you Lord God for the gift that I have not earned nor can I earn it.

Father draw each of us close to you and let us see only you, let not be lovers of our flesh
or the worldly possessions. Instead let us love your law and desire to be like Christ.
Give us the heart of Christ Oh Lord bless my brothers and sisters right now. fill
their  cups and let the flow with your love and your grace and mercy.

You are a over coming

for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the
victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

Yes,  daily do we face difficulties in life, which should cause each of
us to draw near to the Lord our God.. Without problems we
would have nothing to overcome, and thus not be able to receive
all the blessings promised to those who do overcome.

When reading through the Revelation Chapter 2 & 3 you discover that there are seven promises given to overcomers.
To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me
on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on
his throne.

As we go through the storms of life let us not be like Peter, but let us keep
our eyes stayed on Christ.  For he is our rock our deliever, he will forsake
1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them,
because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in
the world.

For as Christ over came death and the grave and even sin, if we are in him shall we not also overcome
and have victory over sin?

Keep your heart with all diligence

Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the
issues of life.

Today we are constantly bombarded with messages on every side.
Everyone wants to influence us to do something -- usually to
buy their product or service.

Distraction is a major problem we face. Because of the
information overload we must deal with, it is easy to be
distracted from what is most important: God's Word.
.

PROVERBS 4:20-22
20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my
sayings.
21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the
midst of your heart;
22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all
their flesh.

God's Word is not just another message, but something that has
life in it. Just because your senses are not aware of the life
emanating from God's Word is no proof. Nuclear radiation is
also unseen and unfelt -- but, as we know, it can quickly kill
you. God's Word is the opposite -- it radiates life, there is life
and hope in the word of God.

For the word of God is living and full of power, and is
sharper than any two-edged sword, cutting through and making a
division even of the soul and the spirit, the bones and the
muscles, and quick to see the thoughts and purposes of the
heart.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Grace and Mercy paid the Price for you and I

It was the nails in his hands, or the nails in his feet.
That kept him on the cross, but the love of God for you and I.
manifesting itself in grace and mercy.

In the book of Acts 4:33 "And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of
the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all."

The apostle Peter observed that believers are to be ministering our
"gift" to one another as "good stewards of the manifold grace of God"
1 Peter 4:10. The words for "gift" and "grace" are very closely
related. "Grace" is the most frequent translation for the Greek word
charis, and charisma is most often rendered "gift."

"The working of his mighty power" Ephesians 1:19 appears to be "the
manifestation of the Spirit" 1 Corinthians 12:7 displayed among
God's people by means of the gifts that the Holy Spirit has graced us
with. Paul's ability to minister was "according to the gift of the
grace of God given unto him, Paul by the effectual working of his
power" Ephesians 3:7.

Thus, when we preach the gospel, we are using "the power of God unto
salvation" Romans 1:16. When our lives radically change in response
to the "new man" created in us by God, we do so by "the grace of our
Lord" which is "exceeding abundant with faith and love" 1 Timothy
1:14. When we access the strength to rise above our infirmities or
difficult circumstances, we experience that the Lord's "grace is
sufficient for thee…. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my
infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me" 2 Corinthians
12:9.

"And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in
knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are
excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of
Christ. Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by
Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God"

It was justice that demanded that we die for your sins.
For that is the wages of sin death.  but it was Grace and Mercy
that stepped in and said we shall pay the price for man kind.
Your sin debt is covered under the blood of Christ, let us each
day rise up oh men and women of God and praise the Lord our God
for we were bought with a price.  That none of us could pay.

Christ did what we could not do

"To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from
the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of
sins." (Acts 26:18)

All too often we consider forgiveness a mysterious and spiritual
transaction that, once accomplished, is a past event that has little
to do with our subsequent lives.

It is certainly true that there is a historical point in our earthly
lives where the forgiveness of Christ was granted--even though He was
"slain from the foundation of the world" Revelation 13:8.

Christ has subdued, cleansed, and forgotten our sins forever: "Who is a God
like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity?... he will subdue our
iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the
sea" Micah 7:18-19. "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy
transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins"
Isaiah 43:25. "I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy
transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins" Isaiah 44:22.

Christ has replaced our sins with His holiness: 2 Corinthians 5:17, 21 "Therefore if any man
be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new…. For he hath made him to be sin for
us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in
him" .

Christ has given us victory over sin: . The good news informs us of

the fact that "sin shall not have dominion over  you and I
And since Jesus already dealt with the "offence" of sin on the
cross,

He came down from glory to redeem us, for our sins made each of us worthy to die,
but that was not the will of God for each of us to dwell in the place called hell. Instead
he desires that we dwell with him in heaven.  So he had to pay the price for us, that
way we could be forgiven and redeemed back to him as we once were before the fall
in the garden.
The power of Forgiveness has washed me white again, the power of Christ's love for us
did what I was unable to do for myself which is to pay the penalty for my sins.

Rejoice for you are free of the power of sin over your life, stand upon his promise,
know that death or sin has no power of you, for the blood of the lamb has done
what man kind was unable to do.  We are made righteous in Christ name.

Forgiving those that have harmed you

If I do not forgive those that trespass  again me, while God forgive me?
If I can not show compassion to another how can I expect God to show me grace and mercy?

For those who was forgiven much, much is expect of us.

Forgive Others As God Has Forgiven You

In Colossians 3:13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if
anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave
you, so you also must do.

Forgiving others for deep hurts seems to be one of the hardest
things a human being can do. In fact -- very few are successful
in forgiving.

God commands us to forgive.  God knows how
terribly destructive it is for us to harbor unforgiveness. Not
forgiving someone begins a root of anger and hate that will grow and sprout a tree that its fruit

is bitter..

Knowing that, God strictly tells us to forgive. But how can we?
We are just human, and we don't feel like forgiving when
someone has wronged us severely.

While it may seem to you and  I to be impossible, but remember

this God does not allow us to shoulder more than we can bare.
We can forgive others, but we must learn to accept that it is the
will of our Heaven Father to forgive as he forgave you and I.

Next, when you are wronged, you need to ask the Lord to help
you forgive the person who hurt you. Having done that, you must
make a firm decision to quit holding anything against that
person.

Forgiveness is not a feeling but a decision to quit holding
something against someone. When you forgive you must release
them and forget it.

You must forgive by faith, after asking God to help you.
Feelings always follow faith -- not the other way around.

How can we humans forgive others just as God has forgiven us?
Having God's help is necessary. Only His love in our hearts can
enable us.

You must forgive others -- no matter what they have done. To
not forgive hurts you. You must forgive.

He gave us Mercy instead

A young man approached me after church and said Pastor, I did what you said about praying.
I've been waiting on the Lord to heal my mother for a year now.  Why want he give me what I deserve.

I smiled and said I'm thankful each day that the Lord our God does not give me what I deserve.  For the price for my sins would be death.  What we deserve is not what God has given us instead he has given us mercy.
Do you really want what you deserve? Maybe you should first
find out what you really deserve.

The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger,
abounding in love.
He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger
forever;
he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us
according to our iniquities.

Thank God that I don't get what I deserve! People clamoring to
get what they deserve are really in the dark.

God is the judge and He declares that we have all fallen short
-- none of us deserves good. But the wonderful news is that God
loves us so much that He is not giving us what we deserve. But
it doesn't stop there. It gets better. Believers are actually
going to receive what Jesus deserves!

Jesus took what we deserved -- punishment. And now, because of
His great love, offers us what He deserves -- freely as a gift
of love. We been   restored back to our Father to sit with Christ as heirs.

Funny that instead of what we should have gotten we got mercy which
gave us a blessing instead of death for which we rightful deserve it.

He is Lord

In Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the
name which is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in
heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

No matter what it may seem like at times, Jesus Christ is Lord.
He paid the price to be the boss, and thank God that he did, for

otherwise I would be heading straight to hell.  For my works could
not earn me a seat in heaven, for all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God
We are free to choose. Because we
are free to choose, we bear the responsibility for the
consequences of our chosen actions.

All that is bad in the world today is the result of choices
made in the garden by Adam. God is not to blame.

Every knee shall bow and every voice shall declare that he is Lord .

Christ told us that the Father and he were one, he was given all power on
earth and in heaven. Because he paid the price for us.  He never sought
glory for himself but to glorify the Father, he gave honor to God in all he
did and the Father has honored him by saying there is no other name that a man
can saved by. Only the name of Jesus can save you.  So he has earned
the right to be called Lord, Savior, Mighty Counselor, the Bread of Life.
We are redeemed by the shading of his blood. by his stripes we are healed.

Thank you Jesus for laying down your life for a sinner like me. For you are
worthy to praise.

Christ died for a sinner like me

As I ponder that title, Christ died for me a sinner like me. I know that in Isaiah 55 he tells us that his thought are not our thoughts.

For this certainly true  with giving my son Yordon or Yeshua for anyone who my enemy.  For while we were yet enemies to God, he sent his only begotten son to die for those who hated him.  God is truly love, to leave glory for a fallen creation and to redeem and yet have it spit and bruise him.  Through it all he showed us true love for remaining on that cross. When he did not have to.

In Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we
were still sinners, Christ died for us.

As we look at at Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness
of sins, according to the riches of His grace

Next time you ask yourself does God truly love me. Remember the cross on Calvary.

Would you have died for us?  Would you have left your thorn to suffer much and die,
for those that hated you?  God did that for you and I, so he loves us greatly he tell us
that he has plans to prosper us.  If our earthly Father who can do good but know evil
how much more can we expect of our Heavenly Father who is love to do for us?

1 Timonthy 1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am
chief.

In the book of Hebrews 9:26 If that had been necessary, Christ would have had to die
again and again, ever since the world began. But now, once for
all time, he has appeared at the end of the age to remove sin
by his own death as a sacrifice.

The blood of Christ was sufficient to pay for all sin for eternity.  Rejoice oh

men and women of God for you have been forgiven.
 Accept that forgiveness.

Thank you Lord, for  surrendering your life for a sinner like me.
Thank you for your precious blood has made me whole.
For what could wash away my sin ? Nothing but the blood of Christ.

Happy birthday to you all, for this is day you were born again.  :)

Know that I love you and are thinking of you daily and keep you in my prayers.

That old Rugged Cross

"But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, . . . one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith there came out blood and water."  John 19:33-34
As with many of the great hymns, the verses of "The Old Rugged Cross" tell a story when considered in sequence. The first verse states the general doctrine of the cross; the second speaks of the necessity of the incarnation to accomplish the cross' purpose; the third, quoted below, gives details of the crucifixion and what it accomplished, and the last verse rehearses the results, both now and in the future.
In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see;
For t'was on that old cross Jesus suffered and died
To pardon and sanctify me.

That old rugged cross was stained with blood, as is obvious from our text. But this blood was special, for "ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold. . . . But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world" 1 Peter 1:18-20.
The divine Lamb of God suffered and died on the cross, "in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins" , "that he might sanctify the people with his own blood"  Hebrew 13:12.
But the old rugged cross was not the only thing stained that day, for "the blood of Jesus Christ . . . cleanseth us from all sin" . The saints in heaven are portrayed as having "washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb" . "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow"  Isaiah 1:18. So let us cherish the old rugged cross, for it the place were I first received his gift.

Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

THIS MAN SURE HAS A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY!

'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.  We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done.  We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare...  We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.  We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem..  We have abused power and called it politics... We have coveted our neighbour's possessions and called it ambition..  We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.  We have ridiculed the time-honoured values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.  Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free.. Amen!'

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over both our nations and wholeheartedly become our desire for our North American Continent.

"Think about this: How far have we fallen?  Do we love the world more than God?"  I pose this question to each of you as well as myself.  I fear that we have forgotten the values of a true Christian and replaced them with liberal values of world that loves itself and hates truth.

We serve a Risen God

As I sat and chatted with a young man today about his faith, I noticed the cross that he wore
around his neck. It has Christ still hanging on the cross.
But thank God the God we serve has risen from the dead. For death could not hold him.
Now he sits on the right hand side of the Father.
On that day the grave had to release him, for he was more than a man

but God himself. come down from heaven to redeem his lost children.
But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be
afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.
"He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the
place where the Lord lay.

Jesus Christ's resurrection is either the supreme fact in
history or a gigantic hoax. If Christ's resurrection is true --
we ignore its implications at our own peril. If not, then
Christianity is the biggest fraud in the history of the world.

Christ's resurrection forces the question of Christianity's
validity from being merely a philosophical issue to being a
historical one.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a fact verifiable from
history. No one can challenge Christ's resurrection -- if they
take an honest look at the evidence.

Only those who never study the evidence -- or who refuse to
listen to its testimony -- could deny the resurrection of Jesus
Christ.

Many learned men have tried to disprove Christ's resurrection --
only to become believers instead!

Some people refuse to examine the evidence, because they do not
want to believe in Jesus Christ and submit to Him as Lord.

The facts remain. Confucius' tomb, Buddha's tomb, Mohammed's
tomb, and Lenin's tomb are all occupied.

But Jesus Christ's tomb is EMPTY!  Did you hear me when

I said Christ tomb is EMPTY!!!!

In the book of Revelation 1:18 "I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive
forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death."

So know that the God we serve is not some figure on piece of metal but the creator of the
the universe our redeemer or savior our Father, who loves us greatly.
