We cannot save ourselves, if we could have Jesus would not have had to leave glory to come down here and die for a sinner like me. We cannot make ourselves acceptable to God by our own efforts. We can only come to Him and accept His free gift, Jesus Christ. When we receive Jesus we also receive right standing with God better know as righteousness for it is the garment Jesus has given us to wear it has washed away our sin and made a new garment which white as snow.Jesus came to set us free from our sin not to remain in slavery to sins, Jesus refused to leave us trapped in sin. For the price for our sin was eternal separation for God which means Heaven was not on the list of homes for you to remain, but hell was the only home we would have know had Jesus not loved us so much that he was willing to pay a price that we could not pay.
Quit trying to be right with God by their own efforts, and accept the gift of righteousness by receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior no future actions is required you don't have spend ten years going door to door, just accept and believe and that is all is required to receive the free gift of eternal life. Or, try to be good enough for God to accept them based on their own performance.
Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin (Romans 3:20).
