Speaking the word

Christ often times is quoted for having said it is written.
Wanting people to know it was the word of God, not
something he just made up along the way.
When Christ was being tempted, Christ did not use any supernatural powers to
resist the devil. Christ simply quoted the written Word of God
to the devil. He was being an example to you and I, revealing to us
what power there is in the word of God.
Notice how the devil came to tempt Christ with a thought -- a
thought contrary to the written Word of God.
Then after Christ quoted the Word of God, the devil also quoted the
Bible but twisted the meaning. Christ responded only with
another verse from the Word of God.

Matthew 4:3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the
Son of God, command that these stones become bread."
4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live
by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth
of God.' "

Matthew 4:6 and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself
down. For it is written: 'He shall give His angels charge over
you,' and, 'In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you
dash your foot against a stone.' "
7 Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt
the LORD your God.' "

If you read the whole passage in Matthew 4:1-11, you will see
that quoting the written Word was the only defense Christ used
against the devil. Nothing else.

If we are going to overcome temptation and walk in victory,
we must follow Christ example and quote the Word of God to the
devil. There is no other way.

God's Word in your mouth is your spiritual weapon. If we
neglect to use it, we will be overcome instead of walking in
all the victory and blessing that Chris has provided for us.

Ephesian 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the
Spirit, which is the word of God;

Obviously you must know what the Word of God says to quote it to the
devil. So it is evident how important it is to read and study
the Word of God for yourself.

Yet it is not enough to just read the Bible or study it. When
thoughts come that are not in agreement with the Bible, we must
speak the Word to the devil who is behind those thoughts. bind him
up and tell him as Christ did that he has to remove himself from you.
Now do not be deceived that does not mean the war is over but the battle
can be yours using the word of God as your shield and weapon.
He shall return but each time let you and I be ready both by the prayer life
we have and reading of our word. Let us not only be in prayer for ourselves
but for our brothers and sisters whom we often times are not even aware of
the storms they are going through. Many of my brothers myself especially
do not often times tell any one of the dark place we are in and how
the enemy is
having a field day with us. So let each of lift up another to the
Lord. Let us lift
up our co-workers that they would come to know the Lord. Let us lift up our
President in the hopes this man would come to know the Lord also and his wife
as well. For we have an ungodly man in the white house right now.
Let us pray for those in power that they would submit to the word of God also.

For it is written: If my people who are called by name will turn from their ways
I will hear their cries and heal their land. That starts with us!
So its time!!! To heal our land, Its time !!!!
To stand upon the word of God, its time!!!
Its time!!! To bind up the enemy with the Word of God.
