   I Am Wrong

"What are you wrong about, preacher?"

I don't know. If I knew I would change.

"Then how do you know you're wrong?"

Unless I'm perfect and know everything -- I must be wrong about
some things. I just don't know what.

"But I thought preachers knew everything."

Some of them may think they do. But even the Apostle Paul, who
wrote most of the New Testament, said he only knew in part.

 
Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we
shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know
fully, even as I am fully known.(1 CORINTHIANS 13:12)
There are two ways to face life: thinking you know everything
and are doing everything right, or realizing you are not yet
perfect. The first way is pride, the second is humility.

If you think you know everything, you cut yourself off from
learning. If you think everything you do is right, you almost
eliminate any chance of improvement.

Do you really desire to never know more than you do now? Would
it please you to never make any progress from where you are
now?

Then, to protect you from the enemy of pride, start each day
saying, "I am wrong. Lord, show me where to change."

Pride stunts your growth as a person. Pride retards progress.
Pride robs you — and can kill. Pride causes strife and destroys
relationships. Pride isolates. Pride closes doors of
opportunity.

Humility is the only antidote for pride and all its horrible
consequences.

The first step to being perfect is to realize you have a problem. 

That you are faltered in this flesh and only through our savior
are you made righteous.

ITs time Rise up O men of God

Rise up, O men of God! "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness" (Isaiah 41:10).  Its time we take up our place as men of God, its time we stop being the tail be the head. For if Christ said for us to love our wives as Christ loved the church. Christ was not timid he stood bravely did the works that the Father gave him and when asked he died for the church.  Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. (Acts 6:3)
How many people  would choose you as one of the seven?  Would you honestly even choose yourself?
But thou, O man of God, flee from these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. (1 Timothy 6:11)


Many of you know the stories of David right?  "Saul hath slain his thousands and David his ten thousands."David was no wimp, he was a true soldier for the Lord, Joshua was a man who said as for me and my house we shall serve the Lord.  What is the motto for your house?  Neither man was a pacifist, they were bold men of God. Both desired to be found pleasing before the Lord God.  Being a man of God does not mean that we have to come home and tell the wife that your the man, cause guess what she  already knows that. But it is time we started living up to that role of men of God. Its time you become the Head and not the tail, with love and not like a brute of the field.  I see a principle that is both extremely relevant and extremely neglected in Christianity today; that of our obligation to serve and assist our fellow believers. We are not to rest until our brothers and sisters in Christ have found a rest and peace of their own. As God declares in Isaiah 62, “You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.” So are we to do today, to devote ourselves to working every meaning of the word to establish our brothers and sisters in Christ.  Are there any “men of valor” among us? If so, let them rise up and go before their brothers and sisters, laying down their lives “until the Lord gives rest” to them. This faith of ours is not one that sits idly by and watches as the earth spins, declaring that God shall do what must be done. Far from it! Ours is a faith that calls men to rise from their comfort and go, in complete dependence upon God, into the darkest and most wretched parts of the world, bringing with them the full glory of the Gospel. Come, oh men of God. Give yourselves no rest until the Lord should establish His kingdom in full! Cast off the hours of television after getting home from work. Throw away the video games and fishing poles and sports and hobbies that keep you from the work of the Lord. Do not seek to surround yourself with comfort and settle in the place which the Lord has given you until He has also established comfort and peace for those who also bear His name.

Then how sweet shall the rest be as we come before that final throne to hear God himself rise and declare “Well done, my true and faithful servant! You have fought the good fight and won the race.” The Lord shall reward those who have daily sought to for fill the Lord's will in their life, as Paul writes, “God will give to each person according to what he has done. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, he will give eternal life.” (Romans 2:6-7)

Oh Men of God, Arise!

Oh men of God arise, awake from slumber's night, shake off sin's drowsiness and rouse yourself to fight. Run from vain this distraction, keep your vision clear; cast out all fleshly stowaways, refuse to harbor fear.
Lift up the cup of holiness, drink long and take your fill, oh men of God arise to carry out to carry out God's will. Oh men of God arise, take up your sword and shield. Your foe has no defense against the power they wield. Christ has gained the victory the outcome is assured, Satan is defeated by the power of God's word.

God Has blessed America

I'll be there (God's version)

Most of you know the song from Michael Jackson, I'll be there well travel with me for a second let me show you something if you will. Take from the lyrics of "I'll be there" the following words:


I'll be there --------------------------------------------- I will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrew 13:5)
Just call my name and I'll be there------For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.(Romans 10:13)

Funny how MJ's song copies a promise that God made to you and I long ago.


'll be there to protect you, with an unselfish love that respects you ---- For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

I grew up listing to that song I'll be there but didn't realize, when I was young that our heavenly Father already made that promise to us all.  Unlike the song which is just empty words without actions to make them true. God already proved his love for us while were yet his enemies, he was there.

Ask those Israelites, If God didn't keep his promise to be right there with them.
So God is crying out to you right now saying I'll be there in your darkest hour.
When the world turns it back on you, I'll  be there. Michael Jackson past away last June 25 2009. But God's word will never pass away.  It was true yesterday tomorrow and forever more.

You say: "I'm too tired." God says: I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28-30)
You say: "I can't go on." God says: I am with you always. (Matthew 28:20)


You say: "I feel all alone." God says: I will never leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews13:5
  He will be there, just call on his name, ask the Psalmist David, he will gladly tell you how God was true to his word.  He is there for you, Call on him, believe in him and trust in him and he will never forsake you. Its his promise to you and I.

Let us Remember

Of all the things I miss is, standing side by  side knowing that our actions helps keep America safe and often provides my brothers in arms the information they need to perform their job.  God we thank you for having protected this nation even though it has put you last, we are still the apple of your eye. Thank you for the gift that Christ gave to each of us. Thank you for laying down your life for a sinner like me.

Are you a Christian (Reposting from 2009)

Yes you read it right!!!! I ask the question again for those that might not realize how serious of a question this is.

I start off with opening myself up to you, so that you know that I do not judge any of you for I can only speak of myself and my faults. Mine is in the hopes that each of us will self examine our believes, and bring our selves before the Lord and that select group of brothers or sisters that God has appointed in your life for this season.

This question was asked of me in 2001 by my brother Steve Miller AKA my Nathan. He and I were stationed together back when I was in the Navy in San Diego. He approached me and informed me that his computer was not functioning..I told him I would have one of my staff members look at his computer, and returned to my office, shortly after, Steve appeared again, this time he asked me "Willis are you a Christian?" at that moment I thought to my self 5 lbs of pressures, applied properly, can kill a grown man. I wanted to apply it right then and there. For you see I had been ordained Pastor in 1997 at Mt. Maria Baptist Missionary Church in San Diego, I grew up in Christian family sang in the church choir. I came to this church with a friend to sing in their choir. To later become a Sunday School Teacher the Sunday School Supervisor,the to becoming an ordain deacon and to becoming an ordain Minister and a Pastor. Sound like I had it all together with my walk??? If I did I was about to loose it. For about the same time I got the call to be a Pastor and was happy. Little did I know my ex-wife had allowed the deacon to sleep with her. The same deacon I had sought wisdom from because he was older. Had plotted to sleep with my wife because he wanted to know what it was like to sleep with a white woman. I thought I could weather this storm. Forgive and forget, yea I couldn't forget. So I went to my senior Pastor with this issue and both the Deacon and my ex-wife denied it. My ex later confessed the truth to my senior Pastor and claimed she as afraid of the deacon's wife. I left that church, I got invited by Pastor Chuck Murphy to be his assist Pastor and youth Pastor at Brothers Keeper. But soon my ex-wife would not be able to remain together. So finally I left the church with shame and the thought that God had done this to me... Though I had sin also, before my divorce was final I slept and now am married to the wonderful woman I call my wife. Most of you know her as Dee, still not sure why she married me except perhaps a chemical imbalance. For give me as digress for a moment there.

My response to Steve question was. "Look Steve I will get someone to look at your computer!!!!" He repeated his question "are you a Christian?", now everyone in my office is now staring at me. I quickly turned to him and said yes I'm a Christian now leave me alone. Still with full calmness he said then come to church with me.
He did let go till I attend church at Maranatha a Calvary Chapel. I found that as soon as starting to go there life got better. (but look out cause the story is about to get better)

My truck broke down on the side of the freeway, a brother from the church Mike came and picked myself up and Dee and my ex-wife was also attending the church at my invitation.
and offered to pay the bill. So he picked me up on base the next time and drove me to pick up my truck. The cost was over 600.00, it seemed for a while after that attack after attack was happening to me. " The closer you draw to the Lord the more the enemy wants you died." Now if there be any among you who said I don't like this whole suffering thing for Christ. Then do this block my emails get ride of your bible and never call on God 's name again. The enemy will leave you alone. But the moment you step out for Christ you become a marked brother or sister.

OK now back to my question, I feel after I have shared with each of you where I have been that I can ask this question of you and I would like for you to think about and then email me back.

1. Are you a Christian?
a.. Does love abide in you ?

If someone at your job need to find a Christian would they know that you are one?
Have you ever been called out in public about if your a Christian?
Would you and can you put the needs of others before yourself?
Are you willing to be uncomfortable to please God?

I ask you the same question that has been posed to me over the last 8 years, and I find myself going No I'm not but I'm working on it.
For you see, I can not lie love does not always abide in me. I have had brothers call me but I didn't want to talk at that moment. Oh selfish man I was, for how did I know if God sent that brother to me as His saving grace. How would I have felt if tomorrow I found out that brother took his life, I was his last hope but I didn't want to be bothered. I wanted to rest because I worked a 14 hour day. Or the kids and my wife were driving me crazy, maybe my back was hurting. Or the moon and the stars weren't lined up properly for me to speak to him etc.... Does someone know I'm a Christian yes the other hiding Christian know because we all hide in the same fox hole together, to afraid of what men think of us??? Good questions since this email is going to some co-workers you tell me. The Last two question most of the time I would say no. Because as human beings we tend to want life to be about us. We say we care about others, as long as it does not require us to get outside our comfort zone.

So am I Christian, some of you tell me I am yet I do not do all the things that Christ did. Christ told his accusers that questioned him about why he healed on the Sabbath day. He told them he did those things which he saw his Father do. Yet I know that Christ forgave sins, he was a healer, blessed man, he was a friend to the friendless. He puts the needs of this brothers first. He was consistent in his duties,I am not. Flawed, that I am yet I do I give up? nay I say I do not for I know that if I'm to be like Christ I must first die to self. Meaning I must be willing to put the needs of others before mine..

Denominationalism is a Religious Iron Curtain that divides the Body( Part 2)

Denominationalism mocks Christ' prayer for unity. In the shadow of the cross, Christ poured out his heart in prayer to the Father. Observe one particular for which Jesus fervently prayed: "Neither pray I for these alone , but for them also which shall believe on me through their word: That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me" (John. 17: 20, 21). The reality of multiplied thousands of different churches and theologies make a mockery of Jesus' prayer for the oneness of his followers (see addendum).

What does the word of God say about denominations?   Christ said that many would fail to keep the Word of God  simply because they loved the traditions of man more than the true word of God. (religion)

We now call it religion. 

The traditions of men that will not earn right standing before the lord  only faith, love and a true relationship with God, not  the religions of men.

Catholics, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Muslims, Buddhists, Faith Prosperity and many Christian Religions and People are caught up in denominations!!!! God has been removed from the equation, some say the greatest trick that Lucifer ever pulled was the day he convinced man he did not exist, I say it was the day he invented denominations and told man it was good and man drank from that polluted cup of blasphemy.

There is only way and it is not Mary or the Pope or Allah or Muhammad or Joseph Smith or Michael the  Archangel, or Gautama Buddha nor You or I.   Denominations have become many people new god, Christ told the religious nut jobs of his time, that they knew the way in but did not go and hindered others from going in also.

Now, please do not conclude that I'm  against fellowship for  iron sharpens iron, my concern is that the theories of men are taking the place of the Word of God. No where in the word of God at least not to my knowledge did he advocate us creating different denominations.

Dear God let us see what  we have been to blind to see, that it  is only  one way to heaven and that way is through you, not a denomination, but the living breathing God.

Denominationalism is a Religious Iron Curtain that divides the Body

Denominationalism is the division of one religion into many separate groups, sects, schools of thought or denominations.Iron Curtain symbolized the ideological fighting and physical boundary dividing   a group of people though they share a common bond but are separate by ideologies. The Day that men like Constantine took the word of God and decided to change it for their purpose is when a great divide begain.
This may sound shocking to many but the concept of denominationalism which is many different denominations, teaching many different doctrines is not taught or sanctioned in the New Testament. Christ promised and did build "one body" or one church (Matt. 16: 18), (Eph. 1: 22, 23),  (Eph. 4: 4). The concept of many different denominations was absent in the First Century. Paul, therefore, taught "every where in every church" (I Cor. 4: 17). Denominationalism is division personified. The closest that we can come to denominationalism in the New Testament is the divided state of the church at Corinth. Paul did not praise this fragmented condition, but rather he condemned it. Observe Paul's inspired teaching:  "¹I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. ¹My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you ." (1Corinthians 1:10-11)
