HEBREWS 3:19

God told Israel the promised land was theirs. Yet it was possessed by others  some were even giants which made it look impossible for them to possess. God had given them the land, but they had to go in and take it.
God would enable them to take possession, if they would only cooperate by believing Him. Yet they focused on the seemingly impossible circumstances and took their eyes off God's promise. Only one thing kept the people of Israel from taking possession of all their promised land  unbelief! Maybe they felt incapable, but that was the devil's lie. Their capability was God! God had spoken! But they chose not to believe what God said to them.
Today it is no different with us! The New Testament reveals many things which already belong to us because we are joined with J Christ. These are not just promises, but statements of what is already ours because of
God's wonderful grace. God has given us richly all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17, &  2 Peter 1:3). Many of us are not enjoying much, but it is NOT God's fault. We are the ones who need to change. We need to change what we believe! Many expect Bible promises to just fall on them. But you have a part to play. Nothing automatically manifests in your life until you believe and act on God's Word. You must actively receive what the Bible says is yours. Very often in the New Testament the word "receive" translates the word "lambano," which means to actively receive. This word is often translated as "take." We must take possession of what God has given you. Without actively taking what belongs to you, you will not enjoy all God has provided for you. Remember that faith is the noun form and believe is the verb form of the same word in the New Testament. So if our beliefs don't line up with God's Word, then we need to change our beliefs to be line with the perfect will of God, for God's Word is truth. If we get line with his Word his promises for us become real, otherwise they just sound like pipe dreams.

So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief (Hebrews 3:19).

1 JOHN 3:2

One of those pictures is that Father God wants you to see yourself as His child. That means He wants you
to expect His protection, His provision, His training, and His love. For God is a perfect parent! No one expects a young child to provide for their own needs. Instead, we expect a child will be loved and cared for .
Parents usually are quite pleased when their child does anything that shows they are making progress. Like when it takes its first steps, or draws them a picture. If you are a parent, I am sure you were excited when your child first began to speak to you. To other people it may have sounded like "goo goo" but to you it was wonderful. This is the same way our Father God feels. He wants us to communicate with Him. We may not know all the "right words" to say, or even how to say them, but God is thrilled when we start attempting to
pray and communicate with Him. At first we may not understand Him perfectly, but we can be confident that He perfectly understands every thought of our heart. And as we grow we can expect to learn to understand
God's communication with us more clearly, too. So, don't hesitate to pray because you think you don't know
how. God your Father just wants to hear from you. He delights in you! Don't hesitate to begin walking in faith and love. Just like a human baby's first steps, you will likely fall a few times, but when you do, Father God will be there to pick you up and cheer you on.

2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is (1 John 3:2).

Proverbs 29:2

Believers have a responsibility to pray for their leaders. If we live in a country where we have the privilege of voting for our leaders, then we need to take that responsibility seriously, be informed and vote as the Lord directs us. Don't allow ourselves to be swayed by the emotional tactics used in political campaigns, or vote based on our selfish interests. Vote as a believe the Lord would have us to vote. Vote for leadership show love of God and move in a godly manner. But don't stop at voting. Pray for our public officials, especially
those in high office whose decisions affect many people's lives.  Whether we agree with our president, let be in prayer for him and congress and our senator, our local and state officials. We are to prayer for others than just the one's we like or the one's who are saved, even Jesus acknowledged  Caesar and said  render unto Caesar what is Caesar, no one is put into authority without God allowing it, sometimes because he wants wake up his people, sometimes to bless His children. We honor God by obey our leaders, the only exception is if the laws of the land exceed or interfere with God's laws.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan (Proverbs 29:2).

ROMANS 12:21

In today society every time I turn on the television there seems to be no lack of evil in the news. However that does not mean that we submit nor stop doing what is right before the eyes  of the Lord. We will be tempted to respond in kind  to strike back a those that do us harm.  But that is a bad choice. All it leads to is
more pain and misery for more people including ourselves. The answer is divine love. With God's love inside us, and God helping us, we can return good for evil done to us. That breaks the vicious downward
cycle and also breaks the power of evil to affect us. Don't tell me this won't work in your case. I have personally heard the victorious testimony of a believer who was tortured by his communist captors yet walked in love and overcame the evil situation. It will work! Love is stronger than hate. Good is more powerful than evil. You can walk in victory no matter what anyone does to you.

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good (Romans 12:22)

Matthew 11:28-30

The daily struggles that life and sin often times becomes to much what do you do? Do throw your hands up and give up? Do you feel like you are barely keeping your head above water? How is your prayer life?  Tired of feeling like enemy has his boot on your neck? Don't know what to do? You go to church every Sunday and don't miss mid-week service, but you still feeling like your walking in defeat and most days your barely making it.  You cried out to God but felt like maybe he was too busy for you?  The reality is that he standing right there with arms wide open ready to take away your burdens, but your afraid to give them to him. Really do you think there  is anything that is to hard for God  to handle?  Jesus will give you rest.

If we but cried out to him and surrender your burdens to the Christ Jesus our savior  when you do not turn to Jesus it's our way of saying that we  think Jesus's yoke is to hard and His burden is to heavy. That is a lie from the pit of hell, there is no temptation know to man that Jesus has not faced and understands.
We need to cast our care on the Lord and learn of Him. So many people are striving and struggling to get God to love them when He already loves them and accepts them. Living a successful Christian life is not done by our own strength or willpower. It is the result of depending on the Lord. Only He can do it.
Quit trusting in yourself and will and plans and abilities and efforts, and trust in Jesus instead. Turn things over to Him. Let Him be Lord in your life.

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).

EPHESIANS 1:7

Most people mistakenly think they have to beg God to forgive them. Instead, God has already forgiven. It was His idea done on His own initiative.  No matter what you have done God has already forgiven you! God is not mad at you. Instead He loves you and desires to have a close relationship with you. Yes, God is against sin, because
sin is harmful to humans. But He has already made provision for you to be forgiven and set free from sin.
Jesus Christ paid the price for all your sins and God is no longer holding any sin against you! You have been forgiven. When you accept that, you can begin to receive the benefit of Jesus' sacrifice. Through Jesus we have redemption from the devil and forgiveness for our sins. Wouldn't it be great if you could tell someone who has messed up their life that God is not mad at them and not against them? That He desires to be their friend and help them?

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace (Ephesians 1:7).

PSALM 27:1

The Word of God tells you and I that "we  are strong in the Lord." It is a given that if we  are in the Lord,
we are strong. Nothing that is "in the Lord" could be weak. So the only real question is whether we are "in the Lord." Are you walking in His perfect will? Are you just another fair weather fan? or are you truly a follower, mean that you have decided to follow Christ even at  the cost of your life, you heard me right , your life. The choice is ours. We must choose whether to accept Christ and thus be identified as "in Him." God does not force this, on us we must choose to be a follower or a fan of our Savior. Our strength is not in ourselves but it is in the Lord. Depend on Him. He will never fail us.

1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid (Psalm 27:1)?

MATTHEW 4:4

The Bible is different than any other book you may read  it contains life. You don't have to understand it, any more than you have to understand nuclear radiation to experience its effects. You just need to expose yourself to it. What is the Word of God active in doing? Bringing forth after its kind. Producing life in you. Producing a harvest of peace, joy, righteousness, and freedom in your life. If you are not enjoying peace, joy, righteousness, and freedom, then your answer is the Word of God. The Bible, especially the message of Jesus Christ in the New Testament, will set you free and make you whole, if you continue in it. However, just because you have fed on God's Word in one area, does not mean you will be free in every area of life.
For example, you could plant hundreds of tomato seeds in a garden and never harvest one carrot. Why? You never planted any carrot seed! God's Word works the same way as a seed. The Word must be
planted inside you to bear fruit in your life.Just because you plant the seed from God's Word about spiritual
rebirth does not mean you can expect a harvest of financial prosperity. Scriptures about prosperity must be planted in you, and watered, before you can expect a harvest of prosperity.  Even if you plant much seed from God's Word concerning health  and healing, you will not automatically have a harvest of a successful marriage and family life. Each seed of God's Word has to be planted to produce fruit in your life in that area.

But He answered and said, "It is written, `Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' " (Matthew 4:4).

MATTHEW 17:20

Once we make the decision to believe, we are in faith, no matter how we may feel, unless we make another
decision to stop believing. Because at its heart, faith is always a decision. No one can force you to believe in anything. The choice is yours. A definition of faith is: a decision, based on some evidence, resulting in some action. Faith in God is a choice to believe what God says is true. It is accepting God's Word as evidence worthy of acting upon.   Jesus did not say "faith the size of a mustard seed" as some modern translations say, but "faith like a mustard seed." The size of a mustard seed is only one of its characteristics. Jesus said if you had faith you would say, so faith speaks. Faith is not silent. We express what we believe by our words
and our actions. Faith is not a mystery. You never have to wonder whether you have faith. You know what you believe by what you say and do.

So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you (Matthew 17:20).

1 Peter 2:24

"Time" is difficult to understand. Scientists tell us that time is "relative," just something that seems real to us.
The Bible indicates God is "outside of time." God created time so He is not confined to it. Can we easily comprehend this? No.When a human makes a statement that is not true at this present moment in time, we call it a lie  not the truth. But when God says something that does not seem to be true at this moment -- we cannot accuse Him of telling a lie because God is not limited to our time frame.  Having said all that, the Bible clearly says that you ARE healed. So, you have a choice. You can look at it from your perspective and say, "That is not true. I am not healed." Or, you can view the situation from God's perspective, and because of your faith in Him, agree with what He said. Which choice is best? As you decide your answer, remember to include eternity in your evaluation. Pleasing God by accepting His Word can bring benefits to you after this life. Here is one way of understanding all this. God made provision for everyone to be healed. That provision must be received by
faith  by believing and acting on what God has said in His Word. Humans have a choice: believe God's Word and resist anything that would try to steal their health, or, let their feelings and circumstances control them.
If you disagree with all this, let's not argue or fight. That will not help anyone. But remember, the Bible will still say what it says.God made provision for your healing, but the devil tries to steal it away from you. Here is the bottom line: we do not understand everything. God does. Since God loves us, it seems best to trust in Him instead of trusting in our own limited understanding. So, I choose to believe and say what God says, whether I understand it or not.

24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness  by whose stripes you were healed (1 PETER 2:24 ).

Which Jesus Do you Serve????

Its back again I will continue to repeat this till i know that each of us has answered this question for ourselves. This for me is probably the most important question that  I could ever answer for myself.  Father help me to be a earthly representation of Christ my Lord and Savior, I want to be more like Jesus and less like me. I want to be ready & willing to lay my life down for my wife as Christ did for the Church, not for just for a bullet but daily that she would know that I love her like Christ loved the church. I want to love my children like Christ love the little one's. I want to be a true brother to my brothers, by putting them first and even be willing to be servant to them. As Christ washed the feet of his disciples. That is the Jesus I want to serve what about you!!!!

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. (Ephesians 5:1-2)

The call to imitate God is a call to separate ourselves from the world though we may be in but not of it  (Ephesians 4:17-19) and how we have been made new (Ephesians 4:20-24) and then gave us specific ways to do that (Ephesians4:25-32).

Our call is to live with the same love that Christ has demonstrated.  Jesus laying down his life for us, was first of all an expression of his love for his Father. Jesus did it, not only because of his love for us, but because first of all he loved the Father and this was  the Father’s will. This ‘life of love’ is not to be something we do to make ourselves feel good or appear good, it is to come out of and be an expression of our love for God Himself.  When John says, “We love because he first loved us,” (1 John 4:19). The first thing we need to do in the Christian life is become utterly convinced of God’s love.

On Sunday they raise their hands to heaven and declare that it is Jesus that they serve.
Then why do we look so much like the world?
Did you know that the wheat and the tare, the world can't tell which is which and quite frankly neither can I. So I pose the question again, which Jesus do you serve?

My Savior bleed and suffered and died and rose again for a sinner like me. My Savior, was a friend to friendless, He remembers the forgotten ones among us, Which Jesus do you follow?
 Which Jesus do you serve?
Is it this picture of the American dream that you chase after? Is the prince of this world who you serve or did you miss that part when you decided you want fortune and power?
If Jesus was here would you walk right by him or cross over to the other side of the street?
Would you even recognize him or have time to speak to him?
Pretty blue eyes and curly brown hair and a white complexion Michael Angelo version of Jesus ,is that the Jesus you serve? My Savior was battered and bruised for my sins, did you miss that part? Sometimes I ponder do we really understand what the price he paid for us?
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for they understand and they know My Savior. So which Jesus do we serve. is it the one whom we pray to bless us with great wealth? Or the Jesus who said
blessed are they that hunger and thirst for righteousness?
So who do you serve? The one whose promises are like shifting sand?
Marine says it God , then country and the marine Corp, what comes first for you?
My Jesus would he be accepted in your churches today? All bloody and bruised with no shoes on his feet, would we want him sitting next to us?  He was not rich he didn't have a pillow to lay his head upon. Today my Jesus would look like a homeless man or perhaps we would see him  as mentally insane.
He spent His time with criminals and those that are considered the least among us. Did you know he had a heart for the poor, so which place would  He come to eat Sabbath meal at your house or among those that were forgotten by society?
Its time we decide which Jesus do we serve but I'm not sure we understand what that means to be like Christ,
Jesus said to live like HIM, love like HIM but then does that mean we must be willing to die for HIM as he died for you and I???
Can we be Imitators of Christ? Can we live like our Savior?  Which one do you want to be ? I turned on the TV set today and heard a man preaching Jesus wants to make you rich and that he never intended for us to be poor.  Is that the Jesus your seeking??? Heard a pastor say that his Jesus says that we should never be sad. Yet my Jesus wept when heard his good friend was dead. So which Jesus do you serve?  I know that I want to be more like my Savior and less like me.  I want to be an imitator of my Savior what about you????
